    No, all of our products contain only 100% pure certified organic ceremonial matcha powder.

  • What’s the difference between The Daily and The Weekender?

    Both The Daily and The Weekender are 100% certified organic ceremonial grade matcha. The Daily is a high quality well rounded matcha that perfectly balances sweet, umami, with a hint of bitterness. The Weekender is specially crafted for a creamier texture with bold notes of sweet and savory.

  • How should I store my matcha?

    Matcha should be stored in an airtight container and in a cool dark place, like a cupboard or even your refrigerator. Exposure to air, light and heat can cause the flavor and overall quality of the product to deteriorate faster.

  • How long does your matcha last?

    Our matcha has a shelf-life of 12 months from production date. For more specific information, please look to the label on the bottom of the tin. For peak quality and freshness, consume within 1 month after opening.

  • Does matcha contain caffeine?

    Matcha contains approximately 30-40mg of caffeine per gram serving.

  • How is matcha different from green tea?

    Fun fact, all teas come from the same Camelia Sinensis tea plant. Yes, including that passion black tea you drink. The difference in all teas is how the leaves are processed after harvest. Green tea leaves are steamed, cooked, then dried. Matcha on the other hand is steamed, dried, then milled into a fine powder. Because matcha isn’t steeped, and you’re consuming the milled leaves, you’re getting all the extra nutrients.

  • How do I prepare matcha?

    Traditionally, matcha is prepared using a bamboo whisk. At matchawell, we recommend preparing however you want! Whether you use a bamboo whisk or an electric whisk, do what works for you. We’re sure both ways will give you a great cup of matcha. Learn more here
